Within this short period of time, I have experienced much broader image of intervention individuals and with groups as well. First, reading articles about working with people of whom have some serious issues (emotional, financial, social, psychological, physical, etc) has riched me knowledgeable and reflected holistic realization of social work. However, once I stated intervention, I found it hard to relate it with practical work on the ground. I felt like was starting from the very first point. It was hard getting to know what the tuner/patient thinks, wants, what helps him, if he had other goals away from what I could provide, if this help is considerable, and on top of this, I was too sensitive and sympathetic. Ironically, instead of standing out to help him or putting a leg out and strive to make some changes, I went in with both legs and felt no room for assistance. Later on, I realized that I was not alone and I should not think about issues I could hardly get their answers. Asking our director Shaptay on any matter I could think of was a first step of learning. Soon after couple meetings, I was able to change my feelings, perception, built personal relations with the patient, and focus on positives aspects which can be achieved or served. Therefore, I was less nervous on the situation, more focus of the targets, and flexible/friendly. Since then, as the discourse went friendly, it was easy for me to figure out about his internal and externals issues more often. This change of feelings in me was hilarious leap which I could hardly do without this direct intervention through multiple scleriis (xxxx). Moreover, the more I work with the patient face-face and listen his past and current conditions, the more I was able to relate theories I study at university and needs/approaches of intervention. Form him, I got familiar with the fact that, it’s hard understanding ones issue and it’s factors unless you show them that you really want to. In addition, I attend several group meetings with(xxx)group in Inbal hotel. These meeting were the very meaningful among the meetings I had. Almost all participants assist or assisted by his/her fellows because; each of them has different experience level of knowledge, and mood. In my first meeting with them, i have learned the importance and the purpose of supportive group. They (participants) raise multiple questions and answer them as the sometime. For-example, one said that she has hard remembering. One of the participants adviced her what to do, another explained the cause and how such problem is related to the disease, and another promoted that as a new topic which they should get psychology doctors together. Throughout that conversation, I have given knowledge in benefits of supportive Group meetings. They are only helpful for each one of the member to coping with his/her conditions emotionally and physically. From the meetings I joined, I have realized how participants exchange friendly smiles, and protested communal feelings. On the contrary, some participants may experience negative feelings for some reasons. it was very ironic that, in these meetings, most of them were very happy, and some left before the meeting ended. In the following meeting, most of who demonstrated positive manner showed up. I assumed that the one with severe pain tends to no enjoy/attend such meetings. Generally, training has left the most tangible changes in my learning process. This training guided me to be more natural and realistic in assisting othes who are in need.

This Association (Multiple Sclerosis) really impresses me is what I mentioned above (group& individual assistance), patients are helped considerably through these activities. The help patients get it physically and emotionally goes beyond what it could be said. Despite my limited knowledge in this NGO’s activities, I’m quite impressive about it’s fair attention on members/people in need. So, if the Association makes more activities with students, that will for sure, they will achieve more skills than meeting twice a year. Moreover, the interaction of students with the Association it seems limited.
